Sumo is a website conversion tool that is used for new user acquisition (through email signups), social media sharing, and website analytics. These forms/pop-ups are typically formatted to have a user take a specific action, such as signing up to join your newsletter, show interest in volunteering, clicking through to a landing page with important information or event registration, or to download resources or PDFs.
To utilize this platform even further, try adding a short video with a call-to-action or use a form to show a countdown to your event with a link to register or donate.
Kindful is a donor CRM system used to track contact records of all your single and recurring donors. The email addresses pulled in here will sync up with your Mailchimp account (or another email platform) so new donor emails can automatically feed into an email segment/group so you can send them tailored email campaigns.
Within Kindful, we can create multiple campaigns/funds that people can choose to directly donate to. It also has the ability to create crowdfunding peer-to-peer campaigns. This is where a user can create a fundraiser underneath a campaign and share it with family and friends on social media for active engagement to try and reach their fundraising goal.
Mailchimp is an email marketing platform aimed at user acquisition and communication. New lead generation coming through Sumo forms will feed directly into your contact list and segmented appropriately. Whether it is through Mailchimp or a current email platform you are using, we will be focusing on sending regular email campaigns out to current and new subscribers.
Event Tip: For an event, it should be a goal to send an email bi-weekly at minimum at least 2 months in advance.
Rally4 Recurring Donor Page
Your Rally4 landing page has recurring donation pillar amounts that link directly to the corresponding donation amount on Kindful to focus on getting monthly vs one-time donations. This page can be used for cold email sends, monthly email campaigns and social media outreach.
mGive SMS Platform
As part of the TESS package, each client has access to set up at least one text-to-join keyword and one text-to-give keyword on the mobile platform. The text-to-join keyword enables a user to text in a keyword and receive a text message response with a link to a mobile form that obtains their contact information. When subscribed, these mobile users are agreeing to receive up to 4 messages a month from your organization about events, updates, and important notifications.
The text-to-donate keyword allows users to text in a keyword and receive a text back with a link to your Kindful donation page where they can donate using a credit card.
If your organization meets the requirements to utilize mobile carrier billing, you will be set up with another keyword to use for set donation amounts, such as $10 or $25. Once the keyword is texted, the donation amount is then charged to their monthly wireless bill automatically.
Event Tip: This tool can be used internally for sending important information and updates to volunteers, as well as send updated event information to regular subscribers. You can also actively promote your donation keyword leading up to and the day of the event to get donations for your event or campaign.
